About Mrs. Dean |
| Mrs. Dean was born
in
Charleston, South Carolina
and raised in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. (Moncks Corner is 30 miles
north of Charleston). She grew up with one older sister, Amanda, and two
younger brothers, Jerry and Robbie. Her parents are Jerald and Elma
Crowley ( They've been married for 30 years!) while growing up, her family
had several pets ( mostly dogs, but two cats).
Mrs. Dean now lives with her husband of 4 years, Lt. S. David Dean (USAF) and their dog Schubert. They live in San Antonio, TX. Mrs. Dean graduate in 1997 from Charleston Southern University with a Elementary Education Degree. While in college, she was a BUC cheerleader and Chapter President of Alpha Phi Omega (Upsilon Rho). She also competed in the 1994 (Miss Berkeley County) & 1996 (Miss Coastal Empire) Miss South Carolina Pageants where her platform issue was Peer Tutorial Programs. She enjoys teaching and doing things for her students at Barbara C. Jordan Intermediate School in Schertz, TX. She is a self-contained Fifth Grade teacher. She also is the Fifth grade sponsor for Student Council, Fifth Grade Level Chair, Yearbook CO-chair, Fifth & Sixth Grade Ready Writing Coach for U.I.L., Character Counts Chair, and mentor teacher. Her hobbies include singing, Tae Kwon Do Karate, Cheerleading, Watching Movies, and reading children's literature. Her favorite books are the Harry Potter Series! Mrs. Dean is exciting about the upcoming year, and wishes to express a warm welcome to her new students! |
